why parkrun?
parkrun brings numerous and substantial benefits to the local community including an increase in health and exercise participation, community and social cohesion, as well as tourism opportunities!
parkrun(always one word, always lowercase)organizes free, weekly, 5km runs around the world to 150,000+ runners globally, with 3 million+ runners in their database! They’ve been doing this for 13 years worldwide and have the figures and statistics to support the many benefits and popularity of the runs.
parkruns are free, weekly, timed events across the world, organised by local volunteers.
